This is a half-self-made half-Bikeline-made route of 1232Km covering seven waterways (the Ohře, the Elbe, the (Lusatian) Neisse, the Mandau, the Spree, the Havel, the Elbe-Havel Canal, then revisiting the Elbe) including two river sources (the Elbe spring in the Krkonoše Mountains, one of the Spree springs in Neugersdorf in the Lusatian Highlands).
Our plan (see spreadsheet below) was to cycle the distance in 18.5 days (average 67Km/day) and to rest for 5.5 days in Karlovy Vary, Roudnice nad Labem (from where we wanted to cycle a loop including the Ohre-Elbe confluence), Špindlerův Mlýn (from where we wanted to hike to the Elbe spring and walk a short way into Poland), a lake close to Hrádek nad Nisou (from where we would visit Ještěd Tower), Lübben (to spend an afternoon canoeing in the Spreewald) and Potsdam.
In reality, we cycled 1344Km (average 73Km/day).
Much effort went into making the data files listed below. See here for copyright and licensing.
